What is Young Recruit Funding (YRP)

The Young Recruits Programme provides a financial incentive to employers to create additional opportunities for young people to access quality apprenticeship places.  It offers a contribution towards the wage costs of apprentices.

Mae’r Rhaglen Recriwtiaid Newydd yn rhoi cymhelliad i gyflogwyr greu cyfleoedd ychwanegol lle y gall pobl ifanc gael mynediad i leoedd prentisiaeth o safon. Mae’n cynnig cyfraniad tuag at gostau cyflogi prentisiaid.

What is Health and Safety vetting?

Answer:

CAVCA have an obligation to ensure the health, safety and welfare of each and every apprentice.  Prior to signing an Apprentices onto the programme, an appropriately trained person will carry out a vetting process, directed by the Welsh Government Health and Safety Code of Practice, to ensure employers are complying with legislation and that they have appropriate Employers and Public Liability Insurance.  An annual monitor will take place for as long as an apprentice is employed by your company.

CAVCA Health and Safety officer has an obligation to report to the Welsh Government and investigate all relevant apprentice accidents, disease and dangerous occurrences within stipulated time-scales on documentation as details within the Code of Practice. 

Mae’n ddyletswydd ar CAVCA i sicrhau iechyd, diogelwch a lles pob prentis. Cyn arwyddo Prentis ar y rhaglen, bydd person a fydd wedi’i hyfforddi’n briodol yn ymgymryd â phroses archwilio o dan gyfarwyddyd Cod Ymarfer Iechyd a Diogelwch Llywodraeth Cymru, i sicrhau bod cyflogwyr yn cydymffurfio â’r ddeddfwriaeth a bod Yswiriant Cyflogwyr ac Atebolrwydd Cyhoeddus priodol ganddynt. Bydd monitor blynyddol yn digwydd gydol yr amser y bydd eich cwmni yn cyflogi Prentis.

Mae’n ddyletswydd ar swyddog Iechyd a Diogelwch CAVCA i adrodd wrth Lywodraeth Cymru ac ymchwilio i bob damwain perthnasol i brentisiaid ynghyd ag unrhyw afiechydon neu ddigwyddiadau peryglus o fewn cyfnod penodol yn unol â’r Cod Ymarfer.
