Answer: With support from your employer, you are being given the opportunity to undertake an Apprenticeship Framework comprising of a number of qualifications. These qualifications are at different levels and you will be assessed to see which level is most suited to you. Answer: Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes designed around the needs of employers. These lead to national recognised qualifications. They are an excellent way to develop skills within the workforce. All Apprenticeships include the following elements: Rhaglenni hyfforddi yn y gweithle yw prentisiaethau sydd wedi’u cynllunio o gwmpas anghenion cyflogwyr. Bydd y rhain yn arwain at gymwysterau cenedlaethol cydnabyddedig. Maen nhw’n ffordd ragorol ar gyfer datblygu sgiliau’r gweithlu. Bydd pob Prentisiaeth yn cynnwys yr elfennau canlynol:

Answer: The National Minimum Wage for apprentices is £2.68 per hour (from 1-10-13). Many employers prefer to pay more however, and research shows that the average salary is approx £180 per week. Paying a ‘fair’ wage encourages Apprentices to remain in employment with you. The Welsh Government will fund their training.Further information on Minimum Wage Regulations can be obtained at: Yr Isafswm Cyflog Cenedlaethol ar gyfer prentisiaid yw £2.68 yr awr (o 1-10-13). Answer: Flexible learning is skills training at levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. It offers the opportunity for employees to undertake single qualifications to which the Welsh Government will make a funding contribution of up to a maximum of 50% of its normal funding rates applicable at the time. The option is available for those employees aged 19 and over. Dysgu hyblyg yw hyfforddiant sgiliau ar lefelau 2, 3, 4 a 5. Mae’n rhoi’r cyfle i gyflogeion gymryd cymwysterau sengl ac y bydd Llywodraeth Cymru yn gwneud cyfraniad ariannol iddynt hyd at 50% ar y mwyaf o’i chyfraddau cyllido arferol ar y pryd. Mae’r opsiwn ar gael ar gyfer y cyflogeion hynny sy’n 19 oed neu’n hŷn. | |||

Answer: CAVCA have an obligation to ensure the health, safety and welfare of each and every apprentice. Prior to signing an Apprentices onto the programme, an appropriately trained person will carry out a vetting process, directed by the Welsh Government Health and Safety Code of Practice, to ensure employers are complying with legislation and that they have appropriate Employers and Public Liability Insurance. An annual monitor will take place for as long as an apprentice is employed by your company. Mae’n ddyletswydd ar CAVCA i sicrhau iechyd, diogelwch a lles pob prentis. Cyn arwyddo Prentis ar y rhaglen, bydd person a fydd wedi’i hyfforddi’n briodol yn ymgymryd â phroses archwilio o dan gyfarwyddyd Cod Ymarfer Iechyd a Diogelwch Llywodraeth Cymru, i sicrhau bod cyflogwyr yn cydymffurfio â’r ddeddfwriaeth a bod Yswiriant Cyflogwyr ac Atebolrwydd Cyhoeddus priodol ganddynt. Bydd monitor blynyddol yn digwydd gydol yr amser y bydd eich cwmni yn cyflogi Prentis. | |||

Answer: CAVCA have an obligation to ensure the health, safety and welfare of each and every apprentice. Prior to signing an Apprentices onto the programme, an appropriately trained person will carry out a vetting process, directed by the Welsh Government Health and Safety Code of Practice, to ensure employers are complying with legislation and that they have appropriate Employers and Public Liability Insurance. An annual monitor will take place for as long as an apprentice is employed by your company. CAVCA Health and Safety officer has an obligation to report to the Welsh Government and investigate all relevant apprentice accidents, disease and dangerous occurrences within stipulated time-scales on documentation as details within the Code of Practice. Mae’n ddyletswydd ar CAVCA i sicrhau iechyd, diogelwch a lles pob prentis.
