On 12th February, staff from Newport City Council, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Natural Resources Wales, Fly-tipping Action Wales and Safe and Secure Training joined together to clear an area of land at the former LG site, Newport. In total sixty-nine gas cylinders were recovered during the day and were disposed of safely.
Fly-tipped cylinders can be extremely dangerous if not disposed of responsibly. You should always try and return the cylinders to the company you purchased them from, if this isn’t possible then please contact your local authority or local fire and rescue service for advice.
